Visit the historic town of Ladysmith to experience the activities of the Siege Weekend witih crafted programme and expert guidance, experiencing the unique Gun Run of the Swartkop Challenge

Our proposal includes:-

• Thursday
  • Arrival in the evening at comfortable ensuite accommodation
• Friday:
  • Meeting with guide and a background history brief after breakfast
  • Visit to the world-renowned Siege Museum
  • Visit to Observation Hill
  • Travel to Spioen Kop for guided tour and appreciation of the Tugela Line
• Saturday:
  • visit to the practice day of the Swartkop Challenge
  • guided tours to Wagon Point, Caesar’s Camp. Intombi neutral camp option.
  • Inclusion in Commemoration Parade and Municipal Reception
• Sunday:
  • experience the feats of the competing teams during their challenge agaist the Hill, the Gun and the Clock.
  • Complimentary CD of official photos
• Monday:
  • enjoy a full aerial tour of the defences of Ladysmith and the campaign to relive it.
  • A briefing lecture and commentary during the flight are included.
  • Lunch at the Royal Hotel as a finale to the Town.
